2 6 tomorrow

Twenty-six...

I will be tomorrow.

My birthdays have always been special.

I am the kiddo types who would go around announcing at least a week before..hey its my b-day.

I haven't changed a bit.

Did that again, met a few friends online..reminded them lest they forget :)

I believe this keeps me young, alright I am not that old..

26...hmm...oh.. I mean I am not even 30 :)

Optimism anyone ? ;)

But really there are always some small childish traits that keep us young.

As young as a 16 yr old..

On the same note I love gifts..surprise gifts :)

They really make me happy ..

During college days(Engg) we had this unwritten rule in our group.

For every b'day all of us contribute 50 bucks(obviously u spare the b'day girl )

Yeah this group was a ll girl group.So from the money collected the b'day girl had an option to ask fr sum gift that she wanted or get a surprise gift.

I was the one who never ever asked for things, not that I didn't want anything but rather coz I loved surprises.

And I love them till this day.

Its so much fun when u get something that u were dying for or when there is a completely unexpected gift.

Birthdays with this group was a blast always.

My birthday was always special, coz it would signal a long break in the b'day season, the next being in Jun..

The cake cutting at 12, the party after that..and of course the "treat" :)

For kids who had just stepped out of home, who were turning into beautiful ladies ..these treats were the best part of b'days.

All the beautiful ladies decked up in one of those not so expensive yet not so college canteen type restaurants :)

Those days were magical..

So as I turn 26, I resolve to look ahead,not get nostalgic every now and then...

and enjoy a fresh new phase of life..a new beginning..

We need to move, to grow, and if we're lucky and the people we love are moving and growing too, at some point in the future we'll find ourselves right back at the start.
